Core competencies

  1. Website modernization

    Typical engagement $75k–$300k+SB/DVBE Option eligible

Redesign and rebuild of public-facing government sites: content structure, design system, accessible front-end, CMS, and deployment.

    • Information architecture and content structure
    • UX/UI design and design system
    • Front-end development (Next.js, React, TypeScript)
    • WCAG 2.1 AA conformance built in, not bolted on
    • CMS integration and editor training
    • Hosting, deployment, and handover documentation
  2. Accessibility & UX remediation

    Typical engagement $15k–$100k+SB/DVBE Option eligible

Audit an existing site or application against WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508, fix what fails, and test it with assistive technology.

    • Automated and manual WCAG 2.1 AA audit
    • Prioritized remediation plan with effort estimates
    • Remediation of templates, components, forms, and documents
    • Screen reader and keyboard testing
    • Accessibility statement and VPAT support
  3. Digital workflow applications

    Typical engagement $150k–$750k+

Replace paper, email, and spreadsheet processes with secure web applications: intake forms, case tracking, approvals, reporting.

    • Process discovery and requirements
    • Web application design and development
    • Role-based access, audit trails, and reporting
    • Integration with existing systems and data
    • Automated testing and staged rollout
    • Maintenance and support

Ranges are typical, not quotes. Under the SB/DVBE Option a state agency may award up to $249,999.99 directly to a certified DVBE.

Differentiators

  • Certified California DVBE — counts toward the state's 3% DVBE participation goal and eligible for direct award under the SB/DVBE Option
  • Accessibility is built in from the first commit: this site is built to WCAG 2.1 AA, works with JavaScript disabled, and prints cleanly
  • Small, senior team. The people who scope the work build the work
  • Government-network constraints treated as requirements: locked-down browsers, content proxies, no third-party scripts

Representative work

  • blackbombinc.com

    Procurement-facing B2B site: Next.js, WCAG 2.1 AA built-in, JavaScript-free quote form, print-ready qualifications page, self-hosted assets for proxy-restricted networks. Accessibility statement
